CD REVIEW - –– "The pair generate that special excitement that we come to expect from seasoned veterans. Then you realize that as young as they are Jacobs and Coll are experienced. Expect to love this one. You will.." –– Making A Scene-Richard Ludmerer

CD REVIEW“...The core of the album is funky harmonica based Blues…A perfect binomial lined up by two blues musicians who know everything there is to know to make a brilliant work, based on the fundamentals of Jacobs’ compositions…" –– Eric Schuurmans, Rootstime.be

CD REVIEW - "...Regardless of how and where you find it, be sure to pick up a copy of this album. It's a keeper...." –– BluesBytes, Nov 2019

CD REVIEW - "Takin’ Our Time is the result of the tuneful team-up of guitarist Will Jacobs and harpist Marcos Coll. The 9-track album opens on “It Ain’t Safe," upbeat, slightly funky, and soulful, yet doesn’t stray too far from the blues. “Hey Baby” is rooted in 1960s Chicago blues. It features a two-step bounce that no doubt makes it a great dance track for blues fans. “Blues Cazorla Boogie” is an instrumental that reveals what the guys can do when they collaborate on a composition. It grabs the attention and holds it, too. Overall, the album is a fine example of the different cultures being able to connect and unite in an international effort through the universal language of music spoken in the dialect of the blues. So check out Will Jacobs and Marcos Coll’s Takin’ our Time because “It Ain’t Safe” to miss it." –– Will Phoenix, HVY 10/24/19

CD REVIEW - "The album starts off with a sweet guitar intro on It Ain’t Safe, followed by well-toned vocals and Marcos Coll’s harp. It’s obvious within a few notes that somebody on this record is a ringer. The person singing and playing guitar has been dipped in the river of the blues. He has been anointed by the blues gods that went before him to make the sweetest sounds imaginable. There is an honesty in Will Jacobs’ approach that tells he is the genuine article, no matter where he lives. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time they have teamed up to record, and Takin’ Our Time is worth the wait. It’s not a long album, only nine songs, but it is definitely a case of quality over quantity. It may be tricky to find this one, I don’t know, but it’s worth the search if you like that delicious Chicago sound." –– EuropeanBlues#ProfessorJohnnyPsJukeJoint https://professorjohnnyp.blogspot.com/…/will-jacobs-and-mar…

CD REVIEW -  "...The languid pumping "Stranded" is a raw, cracking Chicago blues in the best Elmore James tradition. In the relaxed funky "Hey Baby"hangs a soulful Robert Cray / Joe Louis Walker sound with excellent pumping and screaming harmonica work. ...."One Too Many Times" is a fierce, angular blues song with a soulful sound and corrosive and screaming guitar and harmonica work."   - Peter Marinus, BLUES MAGAZINE-NETHERLANDS (Aug 26, 2019)

INTERVIEW - "You can tell immediately that Jacobs has paid his dues with blood, sweat and tears. His soul shines through on every number he performs. His vocals are as riveting as his guitar work. They both (vocals & guitar) come together, with the backing of his amazing rhythm section, to grab your attention. Suddenly the hairs on the back of your neck are standing up and your arms are riddled with those goosebumps, that cool nights, sittin’ on the porch tend to bring on. Yes Will Jacobs is that sort of artist. He just plays at a level of wonderful emotion and skill."- BluesHighwayDJ, Blues Highway 61 (Mar 14, 2019)

ARTICLE/REVIEW  “When Reith Mutates into the Deepest Blues Region” -“Jacobs keeps in touch with his audience, speaks to it and got enthusiastic shouts back. ... It is admirable at all, with which empathy the young man acts on stage. Not only does the voice and guitar kidnap into the deepest blues regions of at least Detroit and Alabama, he also manages to put his players in the limelight without feeling like he's doing it because it just has to be that way , In the team, you can feel it, it fits. ...With the encore "Mojo workin", there was barely a listener in his seat, it was danced and clapped. The guests experienced an evening of blues, jazz and "R & B" of the extra class.”–– Anja Vorndran - MainPost Germany (Link HERE)

ARTICLE/REVIEW   “The Blues is 25 years Old” - “Here, on the piano stage, the band is very close to the audience, with around 300 people is sold out, the atmosphere is family. Anyone who appears here is known or he can become it. Kleinhenz tends to give real talents his stage...the smartphones are drawn, videos sent. They document, I was there with someone who can get really big."–– Anja Vorndran - MainPost Germany (Link HERE)

ARTICLE/REVIEW   - “And of course there was Will Jacobs, the surprise of the evening. Jacobs, a boy from Chicago looks like Robert Pattinson (for those who can not do anything with vampire films: that is the model from the Twilight saga) and plays the blues like one of the very old, can not be impressed by a torn string in the solo. Where the snot comes from, which he grabs in his voice, remains unanswered"–– Susanne Will - Mainpost Germany

REVIEW - “A very talented young man that plays with a passion beyond his years. Will is one of those artists that captures an audience from the beginning and keeps them hooked til the last note."   –– 27Live

REVIEW - “Your music was a big hit at our event. Thanks for being a part of our 50th Anniversary celebration!”–– Crate & Barrel Corporation

REVIEW - “Still in awe. @WillJacobsBand totally blew the doors off the @mcachicago to close out #Cusp2012."–– Twitter/CuspConference

REVIEW - “A husky deep voice was coming from the stage on a sultry Chicago summer night. It was Will Jacobs and his band the Dirty Deal rocking the stage. He was singing the blues and playing his guitar like he’d been doing it for years and he's only eighteen years old. If you ever get a chance to hear this Will Jacobs sing and play guitar take it, you won't regret it....Jacobs is electrifying…”–– HubPages

REVIEW - “This band is electrifying and their skill level is way beyond their years....I have often wondered where the blues genre is headed. A lot of the Chicago blues veterans are getting up there in years. I did not think that any younger pickers could rise to the level of these blues masters, man was I wrong.”  –– American Blues News
